<Maurice> This is what love does to one, Rykotsu. Love has made you weak, love has clouded your heart, your souls desire! Look at where this love has lead you, oh Mad King. Is a whore’s life really worth dying for? <Rykotsu> Perception in this one varies upon the weaker end. You fear love because you do not understand it… Though neither do I, and perhaps that’s what attracts me to it. Don’t you see, Maurice? Love isn’t what took it’s toll upon me, betrayal is what has made me weak. <Maurice> And that’s exactly my point, Mad King! Love has played it’s roll in your betrayal, have you ever once let a turn-coat live? <Rykotsu> … <Maurice> Your silence says enough, Fallen Angel. <Rykotsu> My silence doesn’t nearly justify the awe I am repressing because of your inability, or perhaps even lack of ineptness, to understand the underlying problem in which was created for me. <Maurice> What do you mean? <Rykotsu> It is not love that weakens me, for love strengthens my bonds, it ties me to this world, this world that needs a hero… this world that needs somebody to stick up for them, this world that needs somebody willing to die for them. If it wasn’t for her, this world would have been nothing but a speck of dust in my way long ago; but now because of her, my eyes were opened to a grand spectrum, alluring me to the fact in matter. When it comes down to the knitty gritty, this world is full of betrayal, this world is full of hatred, and death… But even so, even in the midst of it all, there are still those; even if being manipulated to doing something most indecisive, that still shine above the rest. Love isn’t what weakens me, my friend, it is the mindset I have gained via love that “weakens” me. <Maurice> … Heh..heh heh hehah! You’re so amusing.
“Have you ever loved someone so much that every day you’re alive, that every second and breath taking moment that passes, you can’t help but miss them? Have you ever loved someone so much that after everything they’ve done to you, that after every broken heart they sent your way, after every fight you’ve ever had, after every tear shed, after every waking moment of your life is shattered by the cold hard truth; you still love them? Have you ever loved someone so much… that the tears never stopped flowing?”
RYKOTSU’S VERSION OF LOVELESS
ACT I
As time goes on the flower withereths, the day fadeths, and the human, who is all so corruptible, dies. When the war of the beasts brings about the world’s end the Goddess descends from the sky. Wings of light and dark spread afar, she guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting. And when the flower withereths it becomes the soil of the gravel we walk upon, as the day fadeths it becomes darkest, and as the human dies, the world moves on. There is no hate, only joy, the dreams of tomorrow hath the shattered soul and all pride is lost, the wings are stripped away and the end is nigh. All that awaits you is a somber morrow, no matter where the winds may blow. To fly away to a world that abhors you, your soul, corrupted by vengeance, hath endured torment to find the end of the journey in your own salvation… And my eternal slumber. Sacrificing as the wind sails over the water’s surface. But your fate is scattered by way, three friends, one becomes a hero, one wanders the land and the last is taken prisoner, all three bound by solemn oath, to seek the answer together once again. Guided by hope that the gift will bring bliss, and the oath he swore to his friends is broken. As the war sends the world hurling towards destruction, ripples form on the waters surface, infinite in mystery, yet known to all, the war of the beasts brings destruction to all, and the sadness and sorrow filled within the contempt hearts wages everlastingly. Even if the morrow is barren of promises… Nothing… Shall forestall… His return.
ACT II
Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess is what the three men seek but their fates are scattered by way, had one become the hero, the other would have traveled the lands, while the last was lestly taken prisoner. Fate has brought these three men together, and has solemnly split them apart. What was supposed to happen died, and faded away. It became the soil of the dirt we treaded upon, and because of that, the war has begun. Friends, your desires is the bringer of life, the gift of the Goddess. Even if the morrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forestall -my- return. My friends, the fates are cruel. There are no dreams, no honor remains. No life is saved when the war of the beasts bellow upon thee, and thy cast a shadow of foresaken darkness, thusly driven into madness. Thou shalt become the land that you walk upon, so that the flower may bloom… only to withere within time. As the darkest day becomes the brightest night, the legend will speak of sacrifice… Sacrifice at world’s end.
ACT III
The arrow has left the bow of the Goddes, my soul, corrupted by vengeance, hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey in my own salviton… and your eternal slumber. -His- life is saved, however, by a woman of the opposing nation. He begins a life of seclusion with her which seems to hold the promise of eternal bliss. But as happiness grows, so does sadness. As the war sends the world hurling towards destruction, the prisoner departs with his newfound love and embarks on a new journey. He is guided by hope that the gift will bring bliss and that the oath, that he had sworn so long ago to his dear old friends… before fate parted their ways… would once again retain it’s lust. Though no oath is shared between the lovers… The male was driven to madness as the war raptured before them. No love… No peace.. Only sadness filled the once content and loving hearts. The lovers broke from each other, the male set on a never-ending journey to redeem himself once again, as the female finds a new companion, and makes -him- her lover. Despite the desperate agony that filled both hearts of the male and female that seemed so happy together… In their hearts, they know they will meet again.
ACT IV
To become that dew that quenches the land, to spare the sands, the sea, the skies, I had offered thee the silent sacrifice. Though fate has brought you to this. Soon the light of day will be lost, that’s all that will be left for you. Guilt of not fulfilling the oath to his friends ascended the male’s being, having it been on the fore-front of his mind. He became misguided, and over-ruled with hatred and despair. Through out his centuries of living, the male had attained a certain name that he had kept from the female he lost. He gained it via being just that… Being the Нαтяεđ Gυч оғ Ѕıиғυłиεѕѕ. It was only fate that has driven him to such. No contempt, and not a single drop of happiness lathered within the male anymore. Fate.. has… brought you… to this…
ACT V
No sorrow, no remorce, no madness, no regret, no happiness, and certainly no jealousy. Void of all emotion, drawn to all darkness. The being which had started this journey centuries ago, was now forever lost in a burning world which cascaded down upon him… Ą Ďŗėàm … Ĥôw Ŕîďįçũłóũŝ … .
ACT VI
This is not a nightmare you will soon be awakening from, your castle was plundered, your village was burned, your people have been slain. And you, you were bested; in all hopes of finding that light of redemption, you had failed… I.. have failed. Within that uncertainty of life, light has shone once again. Tomorrow hath not been barren of promises, the shattered pride had disappeared; a new hope was found, Ī ĥåvë ŗĕţũŗʼnęď …
ACT VII
A world of no tomorrow, hath the pride resonated with such beauty. Casting a shadow of darkness upon darkness itself, an evil that’s so pure, it illuminates with no redemption. Though the war of the beasts ended, the war within that lone soul shall never end. It is an on-going war which will last an eternity. ..Ĭ ďŗēâm ôf ä ħôŗįżôń … Wĩţĥ ńô wôŗďŝ…
ACT VIII
When I live alone, I dream of a horizon with no words. In the shadow and amongst the lights, for my sight… it’s all black. You’re in a world separated from mine by an abyss…. Call to me, and I’ll fly to your distant world. Fôŗ ŷőų, Į’ļľ fĺŷ…
ACT IX
To dream of a horizon with no words, to become free as the wind; I set to thee, hallowed be thy name, the Kingdom of Immortality is full, they have no room for me. “To become the dew that quenches the land, I offer thee this silent sacrifice.”, God has turned his back on me, and so I turn on him. Indifference becomes the same. Shall I fly away to a distant land to quench it’s thirst? There, I will dream of a world with no words, no remorce or jealousy, pain, or hurt. There I will dream of cloudless horizons, there I will be free. To become the Wįŋġŝ ŏf Łįbēŗąŧįőʼn, and become free. In the end, nothing else will matter. His light dies, his world burns. His mind is set free of all inescapables; the male who set forth on this journey decades upon centuries ago now hangs on a sliver of life. The gift of the Goddess was stripped from him, the dealer of death awaits. The Angel’s of Death stoop and bellow at him, he now becomes the dew which quenches this land. Remember this name, I have not traveled this far to die invain; he spoke so casually. “It’s not that I’m afraid of dying… it’s that İ’m ąfŗąįđ ôf ďŷįʼnģ wįţħôūţ ăċċômpļįŝħĭŋģ ąńŷťĥįʼnģ” And so his greatest fear became reality, he died without accomplishing a single thing. The male which set forth on this journey, this never ending journey, the journey that sought a thousand nations and plundred the entire world into a massive war… was now over. He was finally free’d, and gained the Wįŋġŝ ŏf Łįbēŗąŧįőʼn in which he so desired. His name, Ячкотşυ Тояıѕυиα.
Beginning of the end, act ten starts.
And so he dies, man becomes monster so that he doesn’t have to cry, his tears dry up and run out. So smile… smile that haughty and insolent smile that you could never do in the past. The sky which looked so liberating has set you free. Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess, we seek it thus; and take to the skies. Ripples form in the water’s surface, the wandering soul… knows no rest…
Act XI, happiness.
In the midst of the on going war, he had lost what was once his—- his mind, his heart, his love. But what were they to him without a mind to think of his own, a heart to yearn of his own, and a lover who no longer cared for him? He had lost something far more precious than just his valuables, he had lost his certainty. He was on the wrong direction, a path which lead to nothing but a repeat of history, he was allowing his expansive past to shatter his expansive future. “Well… I think you should move on. There’s no point in caring about someone who doesn’t care for you.” She spoke to him, her words endearing. What she said was true, and he realized this far too late to change anything, but maybe he didn’t want the change. “Have you ever seen perfection in such a beautiful, caring entity?” He would ask the girl in front of him, “No.” She would reply, and he would only chuckle. “I have, and it is standing right in front of me.” — yes, the thing he has been wanting, what he has been yearning for all this time was right in front of him. His best friend, the girl who has been there for him from the start, who has always cared about him. “I told you that I lost everything.” He would say. “But I lied.” Confusement spread upon her angelic features, “I didn’t lose a thing—… because I still have you.”
Act XII, betrayal.
That which he sought for had been a lie, beknownst to him. The girl he had tried to take care of, the girl he had tried to love and so desperately make happy had only been using him. Madness was driven to insanity as the thoughts scrambled around in his mind. “It would be in my best nature to apologize to you promptly, had I meant the apology. I am under orders, by the man I love, to keep breaking you as far as you can go. Had you not seen this from the beginning, Azazel?” She would say; and his mind would become blank. It was the name he was chosen to have as the Prince of Darkness. “He hates you, and it’s not my place to judge why he hates you either. His exact words were ‘I hate him because he’s a monster that looks like a man, and I am a man… that looks like a monster.’ ”
Act XIII, prelude.
A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes, I screamed aloud as it tore through them and now it’s left me blind. As the time goes on the flower blooms, the day fades, and the man, who is all so vulnerable, corrupts. The on going war that beseached him brings about the world’s end and the Goddess descends from the sky once more. Her wings are of light and darkness spread afar, she guides us to bliss, her gift would be everlasting. “I heard your heart beating, it was in the darkness too.” Echoed in the forefront of his mind, the thoughts reeling like a movie projector. He had lost everything, his world was torn apart. “So I stayed in the darkness with you…” Was the last thought that ran through his mind, there was no dawn and no day to this nightmare, it was always a prelude of twilight.
